80% Of Qur'anic Words
If you master these word lists, you need to know only 2 out of 9 in each line of the Holy Qur'an (based on statistical average using a typical Qur'anic Mushaf containing 600 pages, with each page having 15 lines).
The words given in this booklet account for 82.6% (64,282) of the total number of words (approx. 77,800) of the Holy Qur'an. The words listed in the first six pages occur frequently. Some of them occur in combination with each other. They constitute a whopping 41.5% (32,263) of the total number of words.
The next pages, from 7-14 (noun pages) and 15-33 (verb pages), show the number of times that the noun or the verb in its various forms occur in the Holy Qur'an. For each verb, the past tense, the imperfect tense, the imperative, the active participle and the verbal noun are provided. It is assumed that based on this information, you can reproduce the whole verb table, samples of which are provided at the end of this booklet.
Essential of Qur'anic Arabic
This two-volume series is a guide for those who want to understand the language of the Qur'an, and yearn to listen to it with comprehension. The methodology of this book is different from others in that conversational Arabic and non-Qur'anic vocabulary are not focused on. Instead, there is a keen emphasis on mastering the key grammar principles of the Qur'an alongside "high-yield" Qur'anic vocabulary.
The second volume is a continuation of study from the first volume. It focuses on several advanced and intermediate Arabic grammar important in a higher level of Qur'inic study. This includes topics in Morphology, Irregular Verbs, and other topics found in Intermediate Arabic Grammar study. Similar to the first volume, numerous examples from the Qur'an have been given so that our focus is maintained. "Review Questions" are included in the back of this book on the chapters that have been detailed. The last three chapters are focused on more advanced discussions relative to Qur'anic Arabic such as Eloquence (Balagha) and the Inimitability of the Qur'an (I'jaz al-Qur'an).
It is hoped that this Series on Qur'anic Arabic Grammar will allow one to understand and experience the Lofty and Majestic Words of Allah (swt).
