Logical Argument's

Pondering upon the creation will surround you with the greatness of His attributes

We human beings came from a drop of fluid, and from that drop of fluid we have been given attribute of life, yet one that will come to an end. We have been given knowledge, yet one that has ignorance preceding it. We have been given sight and hearing, yet one that includes ignorance, blindness and limitation.

Surely we have been given attributes of intelligence, hence one must ask how attributes of such nature come into existence from a drop of fluid while other species of His haven't been granted these unique qualities. Intelligence has been given for recognition of a creator who creates. It is only conceivable when we affirm Lordship to a supreme creator. A Lord who’s supremacy has no boundaries.

If our Lord can grant these unique attributes to His creation then surely His attributes are unique from His creation. The ever living who never dies has a life that is complete and perfect, requiring of nothing (i.e. Air, water, food etc) one that has no beginning or an end, nothingness doesn't precede Him. His knowledge and wisdom is of such that ignorance doesn't precede Him. His sight and hearing encompasses all while no creation of His ever encompasses His majesty. After that, how can one ever try to understand His ability knowing that we have deficiencies in our knowledge and limitation written all over us? Our knowledge is insignificant to His greatness while His knowledge of His greatness is with Himself. Allah says 'Indeed! In the creation of the heavens and the earth, and in the alternation of night and day, there are indeed signs for men of understanding'. Qur'an: 3: 190

Why did god create us?

The most explicit verse in the Quran mentions he created us for his worship. Allah says ‘And I created not the Jinn and Humans except they should worship Me (alone)’. Qur’an: 51: 56 However, there is another reason for His creation which is to manifest his names and attributes upon his creation for the actualisation of His presence of Attributes surrounding us.

He is the essence of existence, nothing exists without His existence, He is Al-Awwal, (the first) there was, and will never be anything before Him. He created the creation and established His name Ar-Rahman (the Most Gracious) above the creation, encompassing the whole of creation under his mercy so that we may recognise His blessings.

Al-Khaliq (the Creator) having the ability and knowledge to bring forth something out of nothing the likes of His creation will never come to understand, the one who created everything in pairs while he is One. Everything He has planned is according to His plan, and in every planning of His we find him to be Al-Lateef (the subtle). He created us and gave us purpose to recognise His greatness and favours. He created us and fashioned us and has given us the best of forms. We neglect the wisdom behind those who are deformed; a manifestation of His name Al-Hakim (the wise)

One of the wisdoms behind death is to relieve His righteous slaves from the distress of this world. He also takes care by lifting the burdens from those who are to join them all. Nothing will remain except the face of our Lord, the Mighty and Majestic. As Allah says 'whatsoever is on it (the earth) will perish, and the Face of your Lord full of Majesty and Honour will abide forever’. Qur'an: 55: 26-27. On that day The Lord Al Jab-bar (The Compeller) will manifest His name for nothing will remain except He Al-Aakhir (The Last)

If God exists, why is it then science cannot prove god’s existence?

Just because science cannot prove god’s existence doesn’t make god absent. From the above question, it becomes indisputable that science is limited to its knowledge while god’s knowledge has no limitation.Let's give an analogy, say 2000 years ago if someone were to make a statement that an average size building will fly across the world referring to a plane, what would the response be? ‘You must be crazy to believe that’ Right? My point here is that just because science due to its limitation cannot prove god’s existence doesn't mean they cannot prove god's existence in the near future. The established facts that are coming from science only points towards the truthful nature of the Quran becoming manifested upon the creation. If you read the book of Allah with the scientific facts, you would find it matching with the sacred scripture. We Muslims do not need to look into this because the message was sent down as a warning and guidance and not for scientific research; so we hear and we obey. Allah says ‘Do they not then consider the Quran carefully? Had it been from other than God (Allah), they would surely have found therein many contradictions’. Quran: 4: 82

What was before God?

Question of this nature comes only when one is ignorant and fails to acknowledge the fact that our Lord is He who created everything. Therefore the time itself is his creation, and he is beyond his creation. Our knowledge can never comprehend his greatness. He is far above what we think of him.

He is the First, there is nothing before Him.

If there is god, then why is there so much evil?

How great is our lord, we can never encompass him but He encompasses all by his knowledge and wisdom. He has created evil but He has not created pure evil. Evil has four elements attached to it. Good, Benefit, Wisdom and Mercy. Without these four you will never find evil in its entirety. For example, stealing from someone by default is an act of evil however, the one who steals benefits from his evil action. If we were to dissect every scenario in this world, we would find at least one of these four elements to be attached to it.

When one looks at evil, he should never attribute evil to God; rather he should attribute it to the decree of God saying He is the All-knowing who knew the actions of Satan before his existence, and so He created his actions and attributed it to him. Allah says ‘From the evil of what he has created’. Quran: 113: 2.

You can never truly appreciate good if you do not know its opposite.

How can you prove the existence of God?

The fact that we exist is a living proof that god exist. Can any action be performed without the one performing it? The answer is no, who then created the Universe? Creation of the Universe was from an action that took place. Who do we attribute this action to? This only points towards a Supreme Creator who creates whatever He wills and however He wills, and continuously creates.

If god is perfect, then why did He create people with disabilities?

There are no equal to God, He is the perfection besides Him there is no perfection. One of the wisdom behind Him creating some with disabilities is so that he can manifest his wisdom upon the creation. For example, had He not created some with two heads, three arms etc, we would have assumed this to be more superior then what mankind generally been given. Now that these disabilities have been medically proven as disabilities, we can now appreciate what God has given us. One can only truly recognise the blessings bestowed upon him when he sees the opposite. We can never praise God enough; He is as He has praised Himself. Allah says ‘verily, we created man of the best stature.' Quran: 95: 4.

How to answer when one says our Parents pro-created us

Scientifically is it impossible for civilisation to exist since the beginning of earth’s creation. So how did we come into existence? Creation of mankind has to begin somewhere.

If we take Adam to be the first man then there are two possibilities. Either He was a baby or he was created by the two noble hands of God.

Let’s test the first possibility. If he was a baby, then who sustained him? Logically it is impossible for a baby to survive alone.

Second possibility. He was created by the two noble hands of God, and this automatically points towards the creator who creates then sustains His creation. Even though both possibilities points towards the creator, we reject the former for the latter because Allah says ‘O Satan! What prevents you from prostrating yourself to one whom I have created with both My Hands? Are you too proud or are you one of the high exalted?’. Quran: 38: 75.

If God doesn’t guide me, then he has been unjust right?

This doesn’t make him unjust because he is the possessor of guidance and we are in need of his guidance. He gives guidance to whomever He wills. We are His property and He does whatever He wills in accordance to his wisdom and justice.

Our Lord knows the past, present, future and the absent, therefore our Lord knows his servants better than the servants knowing themselves. He knows who will disobey him and who will obey him prior to the creation. Hence it is preordained for those who will enter Paradise and those who will enter Hellfire.

Also sometimes the apparent is not clear from the reality, for example if a teacher has 20 students in his classroom and 19 of them were disobeying him, He then decided to say to the one who is submissive in an angry voice to stand up and leave the classroom. Has the teacher been unjust? From the apparent it looks unjust but if we analyse the situation further, we find that the teacher was very just by removing the submissive student from the corrupt environment to purify his thoughts from being contaminated with corruption.
